About Motivate Nutrition

Motivate Nutrition is headed by Renee Kennedy whose curiosity for why and how our bodies respond to nutrition was first sparked in high school when she learnt the basics of the digestive system.

Fast forward to today and she is a respected Accredited Practising Dietitian and Accredited Sports Dietitian with two decades of experience behind her in private practice and public hospital settings. Renee enjoys bringing her expertise into workplaces, community settings and sporting arenas – having worked with high-profile organisations including the NSW Institute of Sport and the Western Sydney Academy of Sport. Renee provides services as a Paediatric Diabetes Dietitian to Nepean Hospital and as a Bariatric Dietitian for the Sydney Bariatric Clinic, Westmead and Penrith.

Workplace impacts

During her 20 years of supporting clients, Renee has heard time and time again about the challenges people face adopting healthy eating habits, particularly to sustain them in their busy work lives. This spurred her on to developing interactive Nutrition and Wellbeing Programs to help organisations improve their work culture, retain and attract staff and boost their teams’ productivity and performance.

Sports nutrition support

As an Accredited Sports Dietitian, Renee constantly updates her knowledge and skills in sports nutrition science. She relishes sharing the latest information and strategies with athletes – from beginner to elite level – and sporting groups of all ages and abilities.

Away from work Renee keeps active through a mix of running, group fitness classes, triathlons and yoga. Incorporating sports nutrition practices within her own training schedule allows her a greater understanding of how to put theory into practice.

Short and sharp

Although people are often hungry for information that will improve their health and wellbeing, their hectic lifestyles can prevent them gaining the advice they need. Years of supporting time-poor clients in clinical practice and her own experience of juggling a family, running a successful business and making time for exercise, inspired Renee to act. Her Quick Bites Nutrition Education Seminars provide groups with one-hour, face-to-face nutrition topics that promote real and lasting change.
