About Motivate Nutrition
We believe all of us are individuals and there is not a one size fits all solution for everyone. Our approach is to listen and learn more about your current health and lifestyle and then provide you with the most suitable, professional nutrition advice in a friendly manner. Renee established Motivate Nutrition with the aim of motivating and sharing nutrition knowledge with each person we work with, so they will have the confidence and skills to make sustainable changes to achieve their individual goal.
Benefits you can reap
One of the most valuable benefits we will offer you is being able to translate current scientific nutrition and health information into everyday language that has relevance to your own lifestyle. You can be assured we will not promote fads, medical myths, detox diets or the notion of “clean eating”! We blend tailored professional advice with friendly support and motivation to ensure that the theory of good health & performance become a reality for you.
About Renee Kennedy:
From the moment Renee learned the basics of the digestive system back in high school, her curiosity began for why & how our bodies respond to nutrition. Having been involved in sport from a young age, keeping active is a high priority, so this fuelled her motivation to learn more about the science of sports nutrition. Being a dietitian is an excellent fit as it allows her to combine her enjoyment of food and exercise with nutritional science to promote optimal health, sport performance and overall wellness.
Throughout her career so far, she has worked in a number of teaching hospitals in Sydney, including Westmead Hospital and the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and currently holds a position as Paediatric Diabetes Dietitian at Nepean Hospital. Her sports nutrition work has been mostly in a private practice setting that includes individual consulting work, body composition assessments and sports specific nutrition presentations or workshops.
Renee has also had training in health coaching with Health Change Australia. This approach, using a motivational interviewing style, is highly effective for improving health outcomes as it involves you, the client, in the entire process. It aims to not only help make changes but how to maintain them for the long term.
